Downtown Poulsbo is a small town full of Viking flair. We really liked this mural and walking along the water. Their Saturday Art walk was a lot of fun and I’d recommend it if you are in the area!

My husband loves lavender. The scent is one of his favorites and so going to lavender farms doesn’t take much convincing. There are many within about an hour or so of us so we have gone to a few. They all have lavender for sale and offer different lavender scented or lavender flavored things.

We have a really awesome local farm nearby called Swan Island Dahlias that is open to the public August through September….

If you know me you know I love flowers. I feel lucky to live in a place with so many gardens, festivals and farms that celebrate them. One such garden is the Portland International Rose Test Garden..

Organization, color, space and whimsy- are all things I find important in creating an ideal work space for creating art, and for working creatively. Everyone works differently but I think sharing what works for me may help inspire others to find what works for them.

When I find an author I like, I latch on and want to read it all. So, for this post I thought an author/book list would be fun.

This time we changed it up and did only the upper cave (the part with all the climbing) and then decided to hike the Mt St Helens viewpoint trail after.

The Ape Cave is a lava tube cave from an eruption of Mt St Helens that happened a couple thousand years ago.

It is a beautiful place and a fun one to go to on a frequent interval as the seasonal changes are really awesome.
